Missing Persons Reward for Martin Roberts, 19 of North Carolina

Missing college student Martin Roberts below disappeared from North Carolina on April 21, 2016.

According to his fraternity roommates, wherever Roberts was headed that Thursday afternoon he did not take his cell phone with him.

Reward now offered for help finding 19yo student Martin Roberts

Police this week said they will be extending their search for James Martin Roberts "across the state" but added that the 19-year-old doesn't drive or own a vehicle.

A report that he was seen over the weekend "in the Trout Lake region of Blue Ridge Parkway" was fully investigated -- on land and by air -- but turned out to be erroneous.

However, the Boone Police Department is "continuing to  develop leads" and "diligently" tracking the young man's whereabouts.

Martin Roberts is a slender blond-haired Caucasian male standing about 5-foot-10 and weighing around 150 pounds.

He attends Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute, but allegedly was last sighted around noontime on the Appalachian State University campus near ASU's Convocation Center.

That day Roberts is said to have been wearing an Appalachian State windbreaker, khaki shorts, gray New Balance sneakers, a black shirt and a white golf hat.

A $1000 reward is now being offered by High County Crime Stoppers to help solve his missing persons case. Anyone with information about it is asked to call (828) 268-6959 or (828) 737-0125.

Tips can also be emailed to www[dot]tipsubmit[dot]com/webtips.aspx?AgencyID=1251 or by sending a text to 274637 (CRIMES) and adding 'NCTIP' within the message.

Detectives at the Boone Police Department can be reached anytime at (828) 268-6900.

22yo John Krause Found Drowned in Arizona Canal

The body of 22-year-old John Krause was retrieved from a Mesa Arizona canal on Friday night.

A police spokesperson indicated there were "no signs of foul play" in Krause's apparent drowning but they are still investigating the case.

It's not yet known how John Krause entered the water and died there or when, but his is the second body to be pulled from that waterway in recent days.

THE CASE OF THE DROWNING MEN: Accidents, or murders?
Last weekend a worker clearing one of Mesa's canal gates near Brown Road spotted a man's corpse trapped in the debris.

According to description, the unidentified victim's remains were in an advanced stage of decomposition, suggesting he had been submerged for quite some time.

That earlier death has been labeled suspicious however, though the status of the police inquiry is unknown at this time.

Neither man found drowned in mid April 2016 is the first to ever perish in Arizona's fresh waterways.

One of the most high profile disappearances and "accidental" deaths in that largely arid state occurred in downtown Tempe during November of 2012.

That year Arizona college student Jack Culolias vanished after being thrown out of a crowded college bar where he was celebrating "Hell Week" without about 200 of his classmates.

The missing young man's body was discovered about a month later in an area of the Salt River thoroughly searched before due to its close proximity to the Cadillac Ranch where Culolias was last seen alive.

His family, including an identical twin, have since sued the bar for a host of improprieties which they believe led up to and resulted in his wrongful death.

Missing American Colin Madsen Found Dead in Siberia

Shown below, missing 25yo American Colin Madsen was found dead today in a mountainous region of Siberia.

Madsen, who was lodging in the highland region of Buryatia with friends in advance of climbing Love Peak together, vanished under suspicious circumstances still being probed this week.

Missing 25yo American student Colin Madsen has been found dead in Siberia

Locals say the fabled area is infested with both good and evil spirits which pose a significant hazard to visitors who underestimate the power of such supernatural forces.

Russian authorities launched an all-out search there for the missing college student soon after he disappeared in the predawn hours of March 27th during subzero weather.

Madsen's colleagues say he mysteriously left their guesthouse that morning without warning, proper clothing, or a cell phone -- claims which additionally prompted a murder inquiry to ascertain whether the U.S. tourist was a victim of foul play.

Madsen's parents also flew to Russia to help hunt for their son who they assert was an experienced world traveler and had never before encountered any trouble while touring or studying abroad.

Despite last week's massive search-and-rescue effort though, which even included helicopters and drones, there remained no sign of Colin Madsen, alive or dead.

On April 4th, however, Buryatian police informed Interfax that the frozen body of the missing American was finally located not far from the remote lodge where he and his colleagues had been staying.

"The tourist has been found dead two kilometers from the village of Arshan," a Russian law enforcement representative said. "Detectives are working the scene."

There was reportedly "no trauma" or wounds on the corpse, and rescuers were able to ID the dead man at the scene because Madsen still had his wallet on him.

Investigators are now pursuing a theory that the 25-year-old postgraduate student succumbed to the elements after "taking narcotics" with his fellow climbers on the evening prior to his abrupt disappearance.

"The young men used drugs but did not drink alcohol," a spokesman for Buryatian division of the Russian Investigative Committee told reporters today.

He also said "there were no conflicts between them," although the investigation is still underway to determine exactly what caused and preceded Mr. Madsen's untimely death.

U.S. Student Colin Madsen, 25, Missing in Siberia

Russian police are looking for U.S. grad student Colin Madsen, 25 of Missouri (below), who went missing in Siberia on March 27th.

Madsen, who's doing his postgraduate work at Irkutsk State Linguistic University, was staying "with friends" at a remote guesthouse in Arshan when he allegedly went outdoors in subzero temperatures and vanished without a trace.

25yo Missourian Colin Madsen is #missing in SiberiaAuthorities there believe he left the building early Sunday morning between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. without an overcoat, but don't know what preceded this decision.

A colleague of the missing college student posted on Facebook this week that ‘at the moment no one can clearly explain what happened" that morning.

He also said the U.S. embassy in Moscow has been notified of Madsen's missing persons status in the mountainous tourist region of Buryatia and "are taking measures" to help locate him.

Colin Madsen is a slim Caucasian male about 5-foot-6, with blue eyes and brown hair. Anyone with information concerning his disappearance and current whereabouts should alert the Buryatian police or embassy officials without delay.

Helicopters are being deployed in today's "full scale" search for the missing young man, and his mother is said to have embarked to Russia from Jefferson City Missouri to join in the quest to find her son 'safe.'

Smiley Face Murders (1997 - 2016)

SMILEY FACE MURDERS: 1997 to 2016
a glance at 'Victim Zero' Patrick McNeill
Missing in NYC February 1997 - Found Drowned April 1997

NEW YORK, NY - April 17, 1997: “The Fordham University student whose body was found floating near a Brooklyn pier last week died from drowning, New York City's chief Medical Examiner ruled yesterday. He said that the level of alcohol in the body of Patrick McNeill Jr. was ‘more than a little and less than a lot.’ What remains unclear then is how Mr. McNeill, an athletic 21-year-old, wound up in the river and drowned. The manner of death was listed as undetermined in the autopsy report...”

Smiley Face Murders 'Victim Zero' Patrick McNeill
"Stalked, abducted, held for an extended period of time, murdered and disposed."

Smiley Face Murders: "We have a body that was already dead before it was placed in the water."
The body of the first Smiley Face Murders victim, 21yo Patrick McNeill, "was
already dead before it was placed in the water. I would call it a homicide, yes."

"There is a pattern ... around his neck, as if to suggest some kind of binding."

"We have a young man found with a blood alcohol level of 0.16 ... a relatively low level ...
no way in the world that this man then accidentally is going to fall into a body of water."

Robert Kovack, Missing 18 Years, Found Dead Under New River Gorge Bridge

The body of 24-year-old Robert Kovack (below) who's been missing for almost two decades was finally unearthed under the New River Gorge Bridge in West Virginia.

The Virginia Tech grad-student disappeared September 18, 1998, allegedly en route from his campus to a Maryland University football game.

Despite an intensive search for him, only Kovack's abandoned vehicle was ever recovered.

Last Thursday, though, a construction crew beginning initial repairs of the New River Gorge span discovered skeletal remains and other personal effects -- including a college ID -- hidden in an area of dense foliage near one of its pilings.

Robert Kovack, missing 18 years, found dead under New River Gorge Bridge in WVABC News is reporting that the bones were transported to the Smithsonian Institute for positive identification and possible autopsy, but a member of the Kovack family already expressed his belief that they're those of his long lost relative.

“We may never know what happened,” the decedent's older brother also acknowledged to the Associated Press, but "I find it highly unlikely he just gave up and jumped.”

No one does know for certain yet if Kovack leaped, fell or was thrown to his death, but the bridge that appears to have claimed his life has a perilous 875-foot drop from its highest point, making it the third tallest in America and a worldwide attraction.

In fact, West Virginia officials revealed this week that dozens of people have fatally plummeted from the New River Gorge Bridge during the 18 years that Robert Kovack had been gone without a trace.

Some met an end there intentionally, they said, either while engaged in recreational 'BASE' jumping or by committing suicide, and other victims fell by accident.

Search and rescue teams in 1998 had discovered Kovack's car parked, locked and out of gas in close proximity to the infamous structure, but never came across any other proof that the missing college student had himself died.

The investigation into the young man's missing persons case was also obstructed somewhat when his roommates at Virginia Tech hastily packed up all his belongings before police had a chance to examine these items for evidence of a crime...

Corpse of Missing College Student Praveen Galla Found in Ocean

The body of missing Cal State student Praveen Galla (below) was found floating about a 1000 feet from a Newport Beach pier this week.

The 23-year-old disappeared ten days ago, allegedly after taking an Uber taxi from Fullerton to his college campus.

Galla's university officially classified him a missing persons the next day when his roommates reported that they couldn't locate him.

Body of issing college student Praveen Galla, 23 of Cali, found in ocean"It is not like Galla to not return home," the group also informed the Fullerton Police Department.

Investigators, however, stated the missing college student "was depressed lately."

They also said Praveen Galla sent a friend a cellphone message around the same time claiming he had "checked into" a hotel in the Newport Beach area.

On Tuesday morning, lifeguards in Huntington Beach spotted Galla dead in the water, but the condition of his remains or the cause and manner of death hasn't been disclosed yet.

An admin for the Orange County Coroner's Office posted on their website only that “the decedent was found in the ocean.”

The young man's autopsy results were still pending at the time of Tuesday's confirmation that his corpse had been recovered and formally identified.

The reason Praveen Galla went to the shore instead of to school is also unknown.

Paul Tynan, 23, Missing from Waterford Ireland

Another young man is missing in Ireland: Paul Tynan, 23, vanished from his campus days ago and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

The 23-year-old electrical engineering student was last sighted at the River Walk residential complex in Waterford during the early hours of January 23rd.

Tynan's family says his lack of contact with them for so many days is uncharacteristic: "It is just not like him at all ... we are very worried."

Paul Tynan is a slim, blue-eyed Caucasian male about 5-foot-10, with dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a blue hoodie, dark jeans and black Nike sneakers when he disappeared.

Anyone who knows what happened to him or his present whereabouts is asked to contact Waterford Garda Station at 051 305300, or the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111.

Missing Boston Student Dennis Njoroge Found Drowned in Charles River

Body found in Boston's Charles River on New Year's eve is missing college student Dennis Njoroge (shown in the poster below).

Missing college student Dennis Njoroge found drownedIn a troubling pattern that has plagued cities like Boston for the past two decades, the 21-year-old Northeastern University media-arts major abruptly disappeared from his campus on November 29, 2015.

A native of Kenya, Njoroge moved with his parents to Massachusetts in his youth. They filed his missing persons report when he uncharacteristically lost touch with them and failed to attend anymore school activities.

A month later, on December 31st, a young man's corpse was spotted in the Charles River, and positively identified as the missing college student over the weekend.

This is the same waterway where the body of 23-year-old grad student Jonathan Dailey was discovered in the winter of 2012, bound in chains and weighted with cement.

It's also not far from the city reservoir where missing honors student Franco Garcia was found drowned, after he mysteriously vanished while using a downtown ATM.

As with Dailey's and Garcia's peculiar cold-weather drownings, Boston police are claiming there is "nothing suspicious" about the similar disappearance and death of Dennis Njoroge as well.

In fact, they informed reporters yesterday that they don't even plan to fully investigate it because -- as is typical for waterlogged bodies -- there were "no signs of trauma" on Boston's latest drowned young man.

MISSING PERSONS ALERT: John Fernandez, 22, of Middletown NJ

Missing college student John Fernandez (below) vanished from Middletown NJ last month. He has not been seen or heard from since.

The 22-year-old accountant major was first reported missing by his family in mid December, after he allegedly failed to return from a walk in the Natco Lake region on Sunday the 13th and, thereafter, lost contact with them.

MISSING: John Fernandez, 22, of Middletown NJ

A preliminary investigation turned up John Fernandez's cell phone in a ditch off Highway 36 near the Gramercy Lakeside Manor, but there were no other signs of the missing young man.

Police have utilized K9s, all-terrain vehicles, helicopters -- and even divers -- in the massive search for him, and similarly report that they've found "no clues" as to his fate or whereabouts.

Weeks later, John Fernandez is still gone without a trace, and his worried loved ones are now asking for the public's help in solving his mysterious missing persons case.

Fernandez is a slender Filipino male, about 5-foot-10 with dark hair and brown eyes. He was thought to be wearing a gray leather jacket with a hoodie and black high-tops on the day he disappeared.

Anyone who knows what happened to him should alert Detective Kelly Godley of the Middletown Police Department at (732) 615-2120. Tips also can be anonymously posted in this article's comment section.

Missing College Student Anthony Urena Found Drowned in NYC

Missing college student Anthony Urena disappeared from a NYC bar in mid November ... his body was fished out of the Hudson River on Christmas day.

It took awhile for the coroner's office to confirm that the drowned corpse of a young Hispanic male, found near Hoboken NJ several days ago, was in fact that of the "clean cut" and "straight-laced" 23-year-old Urena.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0089HD4A4

Urena was reported missing from Lehman College in New York City, after he got separated from his friends at the Cliff Lounge near Tenth Avenue and 202nd Street on the evening of November 14th.

The young man's family has been searching for him nonstop for almost seven weeks in a row, and initially suspected he was the victim of foul play, because he had never before vanished without a trace.

This week, however, the mother of Anthony Urena disclosed that police told her his disappearance and drowning death was "not suspicious" and that he "accidentally" died when he drunkenly slipped "and fell into the water."

It's not clear what her son was doing at the river's edge in the first place, but “I’m glad that at least he’s found," his mom said. "I didn’t want him to be found this way,” though, she sadly added.

Police Confirm: Hannah Graham Found Slain

BREAKING NEWS: Hannah Graham skeletal remains confirmed as those found in a dry creek bed near childhood home of alleged and jailed assailant Jesse Matthew.

Officially today the search for missing student Hannah Graham, a University of Virginia sophomore who vanished in thin air last month during a night of excessive partying, is over.

Her case "has now become a death investigation," police grimly are assuring the public.

On October 18th, would-be rescuers of the missing teen found a badly-decomposed body roughly five miles from where missing college student Morgan Harrington was discovered raped and slain in 2009, and. coincidentally, the same distance from Matthew's mother's home where he was raised.

At that time authorities announced that they strongly believed "it is the missing student" and the corpse was subsequently sent to the coroner's office for further analysis and a formal identification, which finally came in today.

The results of a complete autopsy to pinpoint the exact cause of death are still pending.

The lone suspect in this case, Jesse Matthew -- last seen with Hannah Graham on security cameras the night she vanished -- is already in custody and also being charged for similar disappearances, rapes, and murders of young women in that region.

Matthew, 32 and a former footballer, wrestler and taxi driver, has a history of sexual assault dating as far back as his college years. Many victims like Graham went missing when he was in their area.
